Mentoring Program
The Department of Nuclear Engineering and the Penn State nuclear Engineering Society (PSNES) jointly sponsor the Nuclear Engineering Mentoring Program to facilitate the professional development of nuclear engineering students by providing guidance, counsel and networking opportunities. Mentors interact with their student mentees on a one-to-one basis using an agreed-upon method of communication.
In this program, students drive the interaction: they decide the objectives, select the mentor(s) they would like to contact, and initiate the connection. This connection could be a one-time contact or the beginning of a long-term mentoring relationship. It is up to the student and depends entirely on his or her needs.
Become a Mentor
The PSNES networking and mentoring program serves students a variety of ways, including mentorship, networking, resume reviews, internship application reviews, career path coaching, or on campus informational sessions. To volunteer your time, please submit your information to Lion Link. Created by the Penn State Alumni Association, this service helps create career connections among alumni and students.
